integration |
SCAS
provides end-to-end connectivity from the entry point
operations to the last point for all Export and Import
business needs.
Export and Import Billing is tightly integrated with Accounts
and all respective accounts are automatically posted for
Party, Sales, FAC/Brokerage Refunds etc. In same way,
MBL automatically posts respective accounts for S/Line,
Overseas Associates, Purchase, Incentives Receivables,
ONC Payables and Handling Payables etc.
Operations are divided in clusters of related operations.
In a cluster, the operations are sequential, i.e. any
next operation can not be performed until its previous
operation is not completed. This sequencing of operations
provides an organized way of data entry and tracking.

SCAS
combines all functions which are required for operation
of NVOCC or International Freight Forwarder companies.
For Exports, process starts with Carting and goes to Stuffing,
Railing, SOB, Transshipment, Delivery, in parallel Sales,
Billing, HBL, MBL, Overseas Debit/Credit Notes and Overseas
Accounting, Local Documentation, Customer Service and
Overseas Documentation. Additional facilities are also
provided like keeping and printing Vessel/Voyage Sailing
Schedules for Different Careers.
For Imports, process start with Receipt of Manifest details
from Hub/Originating Agent and goes to Actual Arrival
of Vessel/Voyage at POD, Arrival of Containers at Delivery
Station, Arrival Notice, Delivery Order, Billing to Client,
HBL, MBL, Overseas Debit/Credit Notes and Overseas Accounting.
Complete Domestic Account is provided with voucher entry
for Receipts, Payments, Contra, Journal and with reports
like Cash books, Bank books, Journal, Ledger, Trail, P&L
and Balance seat. Additionally Job wise Account Statements
are provided for tracking Profit/Loss in particular Export/Import
Job/Container. |

SCAS
is designed to keep in mind a lot of expandability which
is vital for today's changing needs.
All entities of the package like CHA/Brokers, Shippers,
O/Agents, S/Lines, Ports, Container Stations, Routings,
Sectors etc. kept in form of separate masters so that
user can add/maintain as many entities of each type as
required for day to day operation.
Connectivity between Documentation, HBL, MBL etc. and
the Accounts is controller through a list of parameters
which are customizable by user, i.e. if required user
can change/redirect account posting to any desired accounts
at any point.
Data structures perfectly normalized so that all the entities
of the package can behave independently and if any changes
are done to any entity or the entity is expanded then
it has no effect on it's relation to other entities in
the package.
SCAS includes a unique User/Task Security Control mechanism,
which allow to maintain any number of hierarchical groups
of users and provides ultimate control over distribution
of functionality of an organization. The mechanism works
in following manner:

Department heads are authorized
for the operations required for respective departments
only (like Exports operations) |

Then the department heads can authorise their sub
departments for part of operations (like Export
Customer Service, Documentation etc.) |

Then these managers can authorise their users for
their respective tasks (like Entry of HBL, D/Note
etc.) |

A user can be authorised not only for a complete
task (like D/Note entry) but also for any part of
a task independently (like Modification of D/Note),
for example if a user is authorised only to modify
D/Notes then the user can not Add or Remove D/Notes. |
All the reports are provided with the option of exporting
data to many popular formats like Word, Excel, HTML, Mail
API etc., which opens an entire new world of information
exchange.
SCAS is a Multi-Financial-Year package; it allows users
to maintain any number of Financial Years. For this purpose,
SCAS includes a Financial Year Manager, which allow users
to create Financial Years and to transfer balances between
Financial Years
SCAS is a Multi User package; it initially comes with
20 Users License, which can by expended to any number
of users like for 50, 100 and unlimited number of users.
SCAS is implemented using database independent strategy;
it is not bound to any particular backend database and
can be implemented for any SQL compatible database with
very small modification. This strategy provides an organization
with freedom of choosing backend database of its choice.

Internet and Web utilization |
All
the outputs which are sent to external entities are provided
with option for sending through Mail, the package automatically
sends the output to the outbox of your mail client using
mail address fed in master record of the recipient entity.
SCAS provides on demand connectivity
to your Web application (to be ordered separately), which
opens options like:
* Delivering your domestic documents to respective local
entities (CHA/Shippers/Consignees) directly through your
Web site (Web based company networks).
* Delivering your overseas documents to respective overseas
associates directly through your Web site.
* All above with secure User ID and Password separate
for each entity.
* Publishing your status updates to your valued clients
through the web site
* Optional integration with ZSL EIS (Enterprise
Integration Server), which is our separate product for
providing Enterprise wide Integration over geographical
area for information exchange at the speed which next
to instant (depending on the available internet connectivity)

Reports and Graphs |
SCAS
provides entity/criteria wise statistics for business
operations in form of analysis reports.
Analysis reports are designed in ways which allow the
management to focus on important points of day to day
operations as well as to analyze business volumes from
different point of views like Business Sources (the customers),
Target Sectors (geographical areas), Marketing Staff,
S/Lines (the vendors), Routing Hubs and Overseas Associates.
All analysis reports are presented with consolidated information
to provide concise overview of information from particular
view point.
The analysis is also provided in form of Graphs which
further provides more visualized, instant view of information
